Have used photoshop and paintshop pro previously but wasnt really impressed with the finished results and the time and effort involved.
Maybe a google for photo restorers in your area will yeild some good results, technically you could refuse to pay if the finished atricle wasnt up to the standard you expected but that would be just like me to be tight and devious laugh.gif

best of luck with it m8

Allowing the monster without to turn within.

I like photoshop, corel studio, and I have another little gadget called Photozoom (mainly used to enhance small pics to large). I'll post up some of the work I did restoring my old photos. I can also give you tips on processing.

Myself, i use GIMP.

Its legitimately free, does what photoshop, corel, etc. do, and is also open source.

I figured if i was going to learn, id use something i could afford, and free open source software is right in my budget. most functions and features of the other industry leading image editing software are implemented in GIMP, so most tutorials written for other applications, easily apply them selves to GIMP.

As a matter of fact, I created my sig with GIMP, and a few other images in the photohost here at EUS, feel free to take a look at them.

On the other hand, if you arent exactly comfortable with the boxy end of the mouse, you may want to look for a one click photo restorer app that requires less user interaction.
